Guidelines for the use of INMARSAT terminal
1. Get application form from TAM reception.
2. Telecommunication Authority of Maldives (TAM) is the Routing Organization (RO) and Dhiraagu is the Accounting Authority(AA) for Inmarsat.
3. Payment for call charges should be settled with the accounting authority.
4. TAM has the right to cancel the license and impose a fine if the owner is found to use the terminal unlawfully.
5. Inmarsat terminal must be used in the designated location prescribed in the license. Except with prior approval of TAM no terminal shall be relocated.
6. Inmarsat terminal should be used in accordance with Maldivian laws and the rules and regulations of ITU.
7. In case the Inmarsat terminal is no longer used, notify to TAM in writing for cancellation, together with the original license.
Licence Application Procedure
1. Register with the accounting authority, Dhiraagu.
2. Pay Inmarsat Registry fee Rf1000/- and routing organization fee of Rf750/- along with a copy of the Agreement with the Accounting Authority to TAM.
3. License issued within 3 working days at the latest.
